A babysitter in Kansas made a terrifying discovery when they
checked under a child's bed for monsters but instead came
face to face with a man hiding there.
Deputies from Barton County Sheriff's Office responded to
a disturbance call on Monday after the babysitter discovered
the man hiding under the child's bed around 10.30pm.
The child complained there was a 'monster' under their bed,
police said in a press release.
When the babysitter checked under the bed, hoping to reassure
the child nothing was there, they found a 27-year-old named
Martin Villalobos Junior.
'An altercation ensued with the babysitter and one child was
knocked over in the struggle,' police said.
'The suspect then fled the scene before deputies arrived.'
Villalobos had once lived at the residence, according to
the sheriff's office, and had a protection from abuse order
issued against him to keep away from the property.
The next morning, Villalobos was found and pursued by officers
on foot before he was arrested and taken to Barton County Jail.

Unclear whether he really intended evil ... but I can see
why the kids/sitter were TOTALLY FREAKED.
Clue ... they sell 'drawers' that fit under beds - you
can put all kinds of blankets and stuff in them. Then
there's NO space under the bed for 'monsters'.
