Parents of girl who died from measles urge others to not vaccinate

The 6-year-old was the first to die from measles since 2015

The girl's parents believe alternative medicine can cure measles

    . . .

    Well, DIDN'T, did it ???

    They should have tried prayer.

    That always works.

Nobody cares about measles killing children any more than they care about mass shootings doing the same. These things are simply part of American life and why everybody wants to live here because we're number 1!

For a LONG time, nobody has SEEN a child die, or be
permanently crippled, by measles or polio or a lot
of the other old nasties. There's no visceral input,
no experience, nothing right in their faces ... those
are now 'imaginary diseases' as I put it to another.

It was easy for conspiracy nuts to re-frame vax as
"bravely resisting govt/BigPharma schemes to mess
    up your kids".

Have yet to see a kid "prayed back to life" either ...

Heh ... my old wise family GP from long back once
said of "faith healing" that "When I see someone
hobble into the revival tent on one leg and walk
out on two - THEN I'll take it seriously" :-)

Remember proper GPs ? One-stop cure-alls for the
most case. Some made HOUSE CALLS. Now ... they're
just expensive referral agents for the expensive
specialists. Some like to argue that medicine has
become too complex, too wide and deep, for those
old-fashioned GPs ... but I'm not so sure. They
did pretty damned good in the 'old days'. If you
really DID need a specialist they'd set it all
up for you, no extra charge.

Nearest thing these days ... some large hospital
chains also have associated 'walk in clinics'. If
you suspect you may need a specialist, go there
first and THEY will know, and set up, the proper
visits - all for fairly cheap.

Oh wait ... you weren't INTERESTED in sane and
    constructive dialogue .........
