cost a fortune due to location.

All media that you can view on-screen at best give you only part of the story, some basic facts, whatever they can present in 1/2 an hour.
And often the scope of what they are allowed to present is dictated by
their wealthy owners.
At middling, they cloak some basic facts with hype. YouTube posts are a good example.
At worst, they propagate misinformation and lies.
So much for the "news" portion.
The "opinion" or "pundit" portion? OMG.
That's on the far left, far right.
Now the print media can be more reliable and dig deeper. I'm thinking of The Atlantic and the New Yorker for example.
