    negates the values that led France to bestow the iconic statue

    some permits/fees involved .........

    Then Trump can build a bigger/better one from
    stainless steel.

    Just thinking ... with modern techniques - abrasive
    computer-controlled blasting - it'd be possible to
    create a giant monument to Trump somewhere on a
    western mountainside over a weekend :-)

    Well, we owed it to Lafayette.

    For all its pomp, France really isn't a major
    power anymore - and its 'leaders', well ....

    How much more DOES the USA owe to Lafayette ?
