Seleucus of Seleucia: An advocate of heliocentrism

Seleucus lived during the height of Hellenistic scientific
advancements, when Greek, Babylonian, and Indian knowledge
    converged.

    . . .

And Democritus and his mentor envisioned atoms
    and aliens ...........

Thing is, NONE of them actually *knew* anything,
they just pushed "shocking" hypotheses - oft for
fame/money. Yep, equivs of the "alien everything"
guys on TV. They say humans couldn't figure out
how to tie their sandals without alien help ....

SOME old Greek scientists DID get it exactly
right - because they did experiments/observations
and DID THE MATH. They got the shape/size of the
Earth right to an impressive degree using naught
but pointy sticks and strings and math.

But they seem to have been the exceptions. All
    the others just GUESSED.

Yea yea, we tend to highly rate those who kinda got
it RIGHT ... but, really, they were just GUESSING.
    Ten others guessed DIFFERENTLY.
