    But they ARE "The People" - and expect govt
    to represent them, be a sort of mirror,
    a "mini-We".

    Most people are "religious" one way or another,
    so their govt/reps should reflect that - in a
    fair, sane, manner. It is not the job of the
    State to promote atheism any more than promote
    one or more ordinary religions above others.

    growing trend among humans with common sense.
