Poland prepares its citizens for WAR: Households to receive guide
on surviving 'hazardous situations' after all Polish men were
warned they will undergo military training amid growing tensions
    with Russia

    . . .

Finland and Sweden have also sent "What to do if the
shit hits the fan" brochures/manuals. Sweden, seeing
the drift of things, re-instituted conscription and/or
at least mil training in 2017. Finland has long had
mandatory mil service for young men and requires a
level of knowledge/readiness from ALL citizens.

Vlad has long said it's kind of his holy mission to
recreate the old USSR borders. This includes the
Baltic states but ALSO Poland and eastern Europe.
Finland - being so close and associated with
Estonia - may also be a target.

The narrows between Sweden and Denmark are
strategically important and Russia WOULD like
to have control over that. This can functionally
be achieved without 'invasion', just warships
with stand-off weapons systems and subs. Try
to impede Russian traffic and *BOOM*

So, while most of us think a WW3, or at least a
WW2.5, is crap from sci-fi films that's NOT how
countries on the front lines see it. Their
direct experiences with Russia are still alive
and horrible in the collective memory. This puts
a lot more itchy trigger-fingers in play ...

The focus if the USA seems to be shifting more
towards China. This kinda leaves the EU/NATO
on their own ... and they are YEARS behind on
domestic defense build-ups. Trump is not going
to totally abandon EU/NATO, but it's not gonna
be the nanny-state mentality/funding it once was.

My GUESS ... two years and Vlad finds an excuse
to re-take the Baltics, and maybe some of eastern
Poland too. It'll be intentionally "complicated"
and there will be a lot of indecision/paralysis
on the EU side going on. Might doesn't make "right",
but it generally gets what it wants.

No more Vlad ? Some of the likely successors
    are WORSE, and more stupid.
