British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Tuesday that the UK
will raise its defence spending from 2.3 percent to 2.5 percent
of GDP by 2027. The announcement comes days before talks with
US President Donald Trump – who has long demanded European
nations spend more on defence – as Europe seeks US backup
for a possible peacekeeping force in Ukraine.

    . . .

    A ZERO-POINT-TWO "increase" ???

Yea, that's gonna make the UK into a lean mean
    fighting machine ..........

Inflation alone, the 0.2 probably translates into
    a relative DECREASE.

The USA can't carry the world on its back any more.
The UK is part of the world (well, kind of).

Every EU/NATO country really needs to put in more
effort like YESTERDAY. The Russian war economy is
already revved-up and China keeps building towards
trying to grab the entire Pacific area. THEY are
spending MORE while the 'west' keeps pretending
everything's safe and cool. Ask Ukrainians what
that "safe and cool" looks like.

But, I guess piano lessons for armless Somali
    'immigrants' ARE more important .....
