1X, a Norwegian robotics company backed by ChatGPT's maker
OpenAI, has revealed an AI-controlled robo butler for the
home, called NEO Gamma.
In a promo clip, the advanced humanoid boils the kettle,
vacuums floors, carries groceries, cleans windows and puts
up a picture frame.
At the end of the video, it takes a well-earned sit in
the longue – while its blissfully-happy owners drink wine
in the next room.
. . .
Yep, a walking humanoid "robo-butler". Figures
out what you're telling it, does it. Learns.
I saw CHAT linked to part of a humanoid body
about six months ago. It sorted laundry and
some other stuff - could EXPLAIN why it was
sorting the way it did.
At least in their promo, the bot walks around
quite well, understands kitchen appliances,
stuff like "make the picture level" and "put
the groceries on the kitchen counter".
Bullshit aside, people WANT "slaves" - and now
you'll be able to buy one with no legal issues.
Not sure how much this COSTS however ...
Also, they GOTTA work on the 'face' a bit, kinda
a bit too 'alien warrior' or whatever.
