For decades, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has been unaccountable to taxpayers as it funnels massive sums of money to the ridiculous — and, in many cases, malicious — pet projects of entrenched bureaucrats, with next-
    to-no oversight.

Here are only a few examples of the WASTE and ABUSE:

$1.5 million to “advance diversity equity and inclusion in Serbia’s workplaces and business communities”
$70,000 for production of a “DEI musical” in Ireland
$2.5 million for electric vehicles for Vietnam
$47,000 for a “transgender opera” in Colombia
$32,000 for a “transgender comic book” in Peru
$2 million for sex changes and “LGBT activism” in Guatemala
$6 million to fund tourism in Egypt
Hundreds of thousands of dollars for a non-profit linked to designated terrorist organizations — even AFTER an inspector general launched an investigation
Millions to EcoHealth Alliance — which was involved in research at the Wuhan lab
“Hundreds of thousands of meals that went to al Qaeda-affiliated fighters in Syria”
Funding to print “personalized” contraceptives birth control devices in developing countries
Hundreds of millions of dollars to fund “irrigation canals, farming equipment, and even fertilizer used to support the unprecedented poppy cultivation and heroin production in Afghanistan,” benefiting the Taliban
The list literally goes on and on — and it has all been happening for decades.

Under President Trump, the waste, fraud, and abuse ENDS NOW.

Under President Trump, the waste, fraud, and abuse ENDS NOW.

We may find much of the waste. Dealing with it is not easy.

For instance President Trump has had to use his Executive Powers to recind
many of the Biden Era changes that Trump had put in place to correct
various problems in his first term. In this case, the two parties are
playing a game of ping-pong and not creating a lasting solution to some problems.

I fully support Trump and have been very happy with his second term being
well thought out with a great team to actually get much more done this
    time.

I still worry that the Legislative and Judicial Branches are slow to
codify such changes in their own branch so that the changes are made more permanent. Each branch is distracted by many things, including thier
membership in the Deep State that has caused some of the mess that needs cleaned up.

How long after two or four years can We The People keep this up?

Sadly I have little faith in the masses that still voted Democrat this
time around. Will they agree with the results and change parties or will
they win the next time demanding payments/kickbacks from the ruling party?

Consider the $5K payments being tossed about as a result of the savings
DOGE may eventually create. Can we pay down our debt before it kills the
USA? Please, can we keep finding the culprits in the Deep State and all branches that need to be removed from this game of Monopoly.

States like California, Hawaii, New York, and others aren't keeping the
public in mind when they create such stiffling environments and then
expect the Federal Government to bail them out.

Greed and Self Interest are prevalent. We're no longer a band of states
trying to find our own way in the world. Since the World Wars we seem to
think we can tell the world what is right because we survived. How many
of us actually want a ware here? Where are our lasting morals of all the people? Israel has the answer but few are listening to them.

Please continue to support the current administration and help insure that
they too don't stray too far from the People's Will.

I'm sorry for the mistakes, but this seems to convey my views.

    This is Obama's fault.

What this country needs is a good Depression which will create Deflation
that is the only way possible to lower prices from what they are today.

Trump so far is spot on with his tariffs which will create the economic
context for a Great Depression like the one back in 1929 that lasted 13
years but reduced prices considerably and Trump knows that cheap goods is
    what Americans want.

If you took Trump's comment about inflation/prices being lowered on day one literally
then you are one massive idiot Hollow.
You just cannot come up with anything but foolish attacks on Trump.
In 30 days, he's accomplished more than the previous administration did in 4 years unless

    Trump said it.

    You fell for it.

Cross-linked food and energy costs will obviously take time.

    https://www.newsweek.com/trump-walks-back-grocery-prices-promise-hard-bring-things-down-1999876

In a new interview published by Time magazine Thursday, Trump said that one of the biggest things Democrats and his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, didn't understand about the American people is that "they want to be able to buy groceries at a
reasonable price and not have to turn off their heat in order to buy two apples."

But when asked if he'd be able to bring grocery costs down once in
office, Trump admitted that while he was optimistic, "It's hard to
bring things down once they're up. You know, it's very hard."

Although Trump said it would be hard to bring down those prices, he
told Time that he believes they would fall as a result of his energy
    and supply chain policies.

Trump, who was named Time's "Person of the Year" on Thursday, also
disputed that his plans for mass deportation would drive up the costs
of groceries, telling the magazine that he would still let people

So Trump lied when he said "on Day One"

"When I win, I will immediately bring prices down,
    starting on Day One,"
    Trump, Aug 2024

    https://www.newsweek.com/trump-walks-back-grocery-prices-promise-hard-b ring-things-down-1999876

In a new interview published by Time magazine Thursday, Trump said
that one of the biggest things Democrats and his opponent, Vice
President Kamala Harris, didn't understand about the American people
is that "they want to be able to buy grocerie
    s at a reasonable price
and not have to turn off their heat in order to buy two apples."

Trump, who was named Time's "Person of the Year" on Thursday, also
disputed that his plans for mass deportation would drive up the costs
of groceries, telling the magazine that he would still let people
across the border, which would counter the elimination of migrant
    workers from the agricultural sector.

    This is Obama's fault.

    Everything is Obama's fault.

If you took Trump's comment about inflation/prices being lowered
on day one literally then you are one massive idiot Hollow.

    Trump said it.

    You fell for it.

    Case closed.

    Wrong.
Unlike you Hollow, I'm smart enough to realize that NOBODY can
accomplish lower prices and inflation in a single day.
Trump meant he would begin working towards that, which he has.. >>>Hint:drill baby drill. Cutting overregulation etc.

Cool! Housing will become available cheaper due to foreclosures, but the only ones who can then afford it are big-ass private equity companies. Buy up the houses and rent them out, a guaranteed influx of money.

Take over distressed businesses and suck them of their money and let them go bankrupt.

The billionaire boys also get a nice tax break. Tough decision... give it to the shareholders or buy another mega-yacht?

As for all those people layed off, I hear that fried cat-food tastes like

positive. The Atlanta Fed *forecasts* that GDP growth rate will soon turn negative.

Agreed. It's a forecast and the Atlanta Fed is an outlier. Still, it's easy to
see folks holding onto cash because of the uncertainty built into the Trump economy.

Indeed. Warren Buffet's cash is at an all-time high for him, which is
an indicator on what he's thinking...

Plus the VIX ("fear index") is also climbing again too...presently, its
    at the highest since December...

Plus this morning's private sector job report from ADP coming in at
    *half* of expectations...

So as much as one would like to be optimistic about the domestic
economy, the source of the disruptions plus sequence of returns risks
mean that some have "battened down the hatches". For example, I've
taken all gains since 2022 in a Domestic Large Cap (+58%) and Small Cap
(+47%) fund and moved that to be "risk off".

I missed your post about this:

"Consumer price inflation eased more than expected in March as
President Donald Trump prepared to launch tariffs against U.S. trading partners, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Thursday.

The consumer price index, a broad measure of goods and services costs
across the U.S. economy, fell a seasonally adjusted 0.1% in March,
putting the 12-month inflation rate at 2.4%, down from 2.8% in
    February.

Excluding food and energy, so-called core inflation ran at a 2.8%
annual rate, having increased 0.1% for the month. That was the lowest
rate for core inflation since March 2021.

Wall Street had been looking for headline inflation of 2.6% and core
at 3%, according to the Dow Jones consensus."

Could you point me to the link of your post?

    | Americans continue to grow uneasy about the economy as
    | President Donald Trump wages an erratic trade war that
    | could send US inflation rising and even trigger a recession.
    |
    | Consumer confidence sank 7.9 points in April to a reading
    | of 86, the Conference Board said in its latest survey
    | released Tuesday. That's the lowest level since May 2020
