The public SHOULD be aware, and aware of the stats.
Clearly with the Covid debacle in mind, Trump has
decided to suppress govt reports. However trying
to control hype/panic-mongering also interferes
with the publics right/need to know.
Of course the 'media' will keep us fairly well
informed - but we'd also like that official
govt seal on the data. Going too far in the
anti-hype direction is as bad as the opposite.
There's a "sort of" vaccine for H5N1 ... came out
years ago. However its safety and efficiency in
humans is not very well researched. Not sure if
it has been updated for the recent strain either.
RFK especially is very wary of "poorly tested"
vaccines and will NOT support vaccination mandates.
We now know, once censorship lessened, that SOME
people had very bad, even lethal, reactions to
the Covid vaccines - the Moderna one especially.
This is always going to be the case. MIGHT not
even have anything to do with the virus-deterrent
bits but the additives instead. We will always
have to weigh the cost/benefit ratio.
I'd LIKE an H5N1 vax ... but at this point I'm not
sure I'd TRUST any - OR any TRUTH about bad results.
There WILL be a 'new Covid' or worse. Might be
natural but until they ban bio-war research
worldwide there's a fair chance it will be a
lab leak. In such cases we may have to just
roll the dice and trust to 'poorly tested'
vaccines. Let's firm up the whats and whens
and have govts put money and resources into
"fast safety/efficiency" testing. It's like
having a fire-extinguisher on the wall,
a "just in case".
