    Tachyons

It's claimed that they can move backwards in time.
    So...

IF we figure out how to detect tachyons...

AND we figure out how to produce them...

AND we can produce them on demand, like we
    might with photons, for example...

THEN information can and will be sent backwards
through time. People in the future will send information,
    warnings, solutions BACKWARDS through time.

    WARNING:

Like a lot of proposed Time Travel, information couldn't
travel back any further than the point at which we
acquired the ability to detect tachyons. We can't do that
today so no information from the future can reach us
    yet.

    DETAILS

We'd have to be able to produce tachyons on demand.
Then, we could create them in patterns, and patterns,
    ladies and gentlemen, means communications.

Think Morse Code or even Binary Code!

This is real. Well. It's as real as it gets. We have no proof
that tachyons even exist, much less a means for detecting
them, much less producing them on demand. But if they
do exist, and we can prove it (detect them), AND figure out
a way of producing them on demand, we've got messages
    traveling backwards through time.

I think I'd be more worried about this than a time machine.

I mean, people are evil cucks. Why wouldn't the people of
the future send back "Dire warnings" NOT of dangers we
face, but to manipulate us into improving their economy
    or lives?

"If we tell those idiots in the past that they have to level
all their hospitals, turn them into fields, that'll seriously
impact their lives in a very negative way. But, it would
leave all this open space for me to build a chain of
    Starbucks. I'll make a fortune!"

BECAUSE communications would be moving in one
direction, effectively, all the messages would be for the
benefit of the people in the future, not us. And as they
don't even exist, not in our time frame, there is a very
powerful opportunity for us to screw ourselves over in
order to enrich people that don't exist...

    And will they exist? Ever?

    REMEMBER YOUR GRANDFATHER PARADOX!

If they send send a message backwards through time,
and in this scenario they will be able to, that would
CHANGE the present and everything that follows.. including
the society that sent the message in the first place!

Tachyons are proposed to exist, some might argue they that
their existence in inferred from Relativity. And if they do exist,
and we can detect them, and we can produce them at will, they
are a means for sending information BACKWARDS through
    time.
