FIRST: The interglacial immediately previous to our own
was warmer, sea level was significantly higher. It was
about 5 meters higher -- a little over 16 feet.

science, depicts sea level during the present as hight.
IT IS SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER and the "science" page
depicts it as higher.
The claim by the Church of AGW was that the Maldives
were going to be under a foot of water already, starting
some years ago.
They are not. They're not under water at all.
Yet. If sea level during this interglacial was as warm
as the last one, their HIGHEST ELEVATION would
already be under 8 feet of water...a little more, actually.
But they're not underwater at all.
So the PRE INDUSTRIAL, pre fossil fuel paleo times
with the Neanderthals ruling Europe and CO2 under
300ppm was significantly warmer and sea level was
significantly higher. And the "SCIENCE" page is showing
something else.
ALSO: Warm periods are very much shorter than cold
periods, during this ice age.
Glacial periods, what ignorant people think of as an
"Ice Age" are much longer than interglacial periods,
the warm periods like the one we are living in right
now.
The last glacial period lasted maybe 120,000 years,
by popular dating, while interglacials typically lasted
only 10k.
Ours is popularly dated back a little less than 12k.
Yes, we're overdue to see it end. We're overdue to
see our world plunged into a frozen deathscape...

The only way we could possibly warm the planet is
via great efforts -- geoengineering. And that would
be a very good thing.
