    Mio-Pliocene Hominoidea were already bipedal waders-climbers: aquarboreal. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/228449849_Aquarboreal_ancestors https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17516430/
Pleistocene Homo became shallow-divers for shellfish.

    Biology leaves 0 doubt:
-Mio-Pliocene "apes" (incl. australopiths) were originally aquarboreal (aqua=water, arbor=tree),
-early-Pleist.H.erectus (Ind.Ocean coasts) began also diving for shallow-aquatic foods incl. shellfish.
