    We have legislators and a privacy commissioners and everyone in Canada is aware of the Pegasus spyware the RCMP is using on Jane Public.

    It was only a matter of time until Canada’s Spam team was identified on Usenet.

    Warrant

    19 (1) On an ex parte application, a justice of the peace may issue a warrant authorizing a person who is designated for the purpose of this section and who is named in the warrant to enter a place if the justice is satisfied by information on oath

    (a) entry to the place is necessary to

    (i) verify compliance with this Act,

    (ii) determine whether any of sections 6 to 9 has been contravened, or

    The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) can issue administrative monetary penalties for violations of sections 6 through 9 of CASL
    The Competition Bureau can seek administrative monetary penalties or criminal sanctions under the Competition Act
    The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada focuses on 2 types of violations: collecting personal information by accessing a computer system or electronic device illegally (usually through spyware, which collects your information without consent

    Trent Kenyon I also had the Ottawa Police Service reach out to the the
