What do you think of President Joe Biden's statement that creating a Palestinian state alongside Israel is the "only answer" to the
Israel-Gaza conflict?
This is the same guy who went to Israel is a freshman congressman in
1973 and lectured PM Gilda Meir, telling her that the Arab states no
longer harbored any hostility, knew that they couldn’t defeat Israel,
and that Israel could and should unilaterally withdraw from all the
territory captured in defending itself against the genocidal war that
the Arab states launched in 1967. (He did not describe the war in those
terms.)

One of the Prime Minister‘s advisers remarked in his diary that he had
seldom seen that degree of political naïveté.

Less than six months later, the Arabs launched the Yom Kippur war in
October, 1973.

But it’s not just his track record on the Israel-Arab situation that
makes me wary of his recommendations. I’m trying to think of any issue
that he got right in his 40+ year political career.

This is the same guy who said that you don’t need a handgun or a rifle
to defend your home; if you hear a suspicious noise at the door, just
fire a shotgun through the closed door without bothering to see who is
there.

Well, it would have to be somewhere near Israel wouldn't it? ;-)

Outer Siberia might be the preferred option of course, but I don't see
that working!
