  • Anyone have the Register of William Bateman, Bishop of Norwich?

    Just on the off chance, does anyone have either of the two volumes of "The Register of William Bateman, Bishop of Norwich, 1344-1355"?

    I am looking for the date of the institution of William Deighton (Dighton, Dyghton) to the church of Trimingham.

    Now that the holiday is over and the trains are running again, I have managed get to the library to look at William Bateman's Register, ed. Phyllis E. Pobst, ii, p. 61:

    [fo.136] 1577 Inst. of William de Dyghton, priest, to the rectory of Trimingham [N], vacant by the death of James de Platea; presentation was made by Dns Henry de Walton, archdeacon of Richmond, attorney general in England and Wales for the patron, Henry
    [of Grosmont], duke of Lancaster, in his absence. London, 5 Feb. 1352.
