It turns out that Renia was completely wrong about some of her ancestral connections.

    This John Bury: https://www.genealogics.org/pedigree.php?personID=I00338590&tree=LEO
was a son of Phineas Bury, not of John Bury and Mary Tolderfield.

William Palliser, Archbishop of Cashel: https://www.genealogics.org/pedigree.php?personID=I00338592&tree=LEO
was a son of Thomas Palliser and Joan Frankland / Franklin, not of
    John Palliser and Jane Wright.

The mother of Wray Bury Palliser: https://www.genealogics.org/pedigree.php?personID=I00550500&tree=LEO
was a daughter of Richard Taylor, not Anne Bury.

That eliminates the supposed Cecil connection.

    Renia wrong? Surely not.

    Leslie
    Renia wrong? Surely not.

The standard genealogies have these parental connections wrong. My 9xggf, William Palliser, Archibishop of Cashel, was not the son of Thomas Palliser and Joan Frankland, but of John Palliser and Jane Wright. The Bury (Earls of Charleville pedigrees) are
all over the place. The will of Richard Bury, Mayor of Dorchester, confirms his son, John, married Mary Tolderfield. Again, the printed pedigrees are wrong. Finally, I cannot find a descent from Richard Cecil, but from his father, Thomas Cecil, who is my
    11xggf through Drury Wray.

I've not posted here for years so I've only just replied to Leslie because I've only just bumped into his post. Hope everybody is well. Regards, Renia.
