Hello,
The published version of the Shropshire Visitation of 1623, when showing the Corbets of Moreton Corbet, shows the second wife of Robert Corbet as Matilda, without mentioning her father, but specifying D'ni de Tideshill [Tideshall], vidua 35 H 3.
THE FAMILY OF CORBET ITS LIFE AND TIMES By A. E. C., vol. 2, page 226 and others brings more information about Matilda and her family.

According to the author of that study, she was a daughter of John de Arundel, son of another John de Arundel, and apparently sister of another John de Arundel.
The author traces back other members of that family further back.
How reliable is this study?
and how is this family related (or not) to the Arundel of Cornwall?
J. Sardina
Thanks,
J. Sardina
