    All, in my newness, still having a bit of trouble interpreting dates as written in certain ways. Would 20 Jan 1520 be expressed as below, in many old English documents? (20 Jan in the 11th year of King Henry VIII's reign?)

    xx (mo, in superscript) die Januarri anno regni regis Henrici viij (vi, in superscript), xj (mo, in superscript)

    When you come acrost a reference such like "in the x year of the reign of y" you should use the regnal calculator
    This is the best way to know which current year, this form of year, refers
