Dear Martha,
I found Nicolaas Anslijn, born in Leiden in 1800 , he came to CuraƧao
, died 1871 and married for the first time in 1822, the first child
from that marriage was also a Nicolaas (military - chirurgijn medical
aid), born 1823. He was also working in Surinam. All 3 sons from the
older Nicolaas from his two marriages could have had sons named
Nicolaas.

Dear Chris,
I know this comes 13 Years later but I have been away from genealogy. I'd like to get started again with your help. I hope you don't mind me asking where did you find the above information? Are there records that show the older Nicolaas's occupation?
I have information on that after he arrived in the United States. Also anything about the son Nicolaas's life. My ancestor is a son from the second marriage, William Charles.
Thank you for all your help,
Martha Moss
