  • The Chill of Math

    The last couple of days both I and my brother James, who
    also suffers from bipolar disorder though his symptoms
    are different from mine and he is an extreme morning
    person and I am an extreme night person, have had cold
    symptoms. But he seems a bit better today, and I have
    just started to come out of a chilled feeling after two hot
    bowls of seafood chowder.

    This leaves me somewhat hopeful, since in Evangeline
    Walton’s translation of the Mabinogion I read that after
    three years of being turned into different animals each
    year by Math, brothers Gwydion and Gilfaethwy experienced
    a strange chill and then transformed back to human.

    Now I divine that none of the propthrough ootws (who I
    used to call avatar types) had three years of low/working
    years, they were all the common seven years or the more
    rare fourteen years, and I have had to go over 28 years
    (4X7 or 2X14), indeed approaching 29 years (the common
    7 years plus 2 sunspot cycles). So anyway I hope that
    my low/working years will end by Samhain, though I
    might have to wait until Chinese New Year, which will
    be exactly 29 years.

    OK, I am beginning a new attempt which I will report
    on just on alt.religion.druid, for which there was a new
    judging of my workings by just Goddess, and it seems
    there were some 3-years-low/working-years workings
    including Gwydion and Jesus, more further back in
    time, at least for humans.
