According to UN GA Resolution, Taiwan is part of the PRC which
represents all Chinese people on both side of Taiwan Strait. News agency should be blocked if they deliberately not reporting the truth.

Trump's "AP block" is limited. Full block would quite likely be overturned
by courts. So state boundaries of blocks you "suggest".

Trump restricts AP access over Gulf of Mexico issue
    February 19, 20252:34 AM GMT+1 Updated 16 days ago

Feb 18 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he
will block the Associated Press from the Oval Office and Air Force One
until the news agency stops referring to the Gulf of Mexico. […]

US judge allows Trump’s AP Oval Office ban to stand over Gulf of
    Mexico name

[…] McFadden, a Trump appointee, said the restriction on “more private areas” used by Trump was different from prior instances in which
courts have blocked government officials from revoking access to
    journalists.
“I can’t say the AP has shown a likelihood of success here,” McFadden said.
But he also described the ban as “problematic” and advised the
government that “case law in this circuit is uniformly unhelpful to
the White House”. McFadden said the issue required more exploration
before ruling. Another hearing in the case has been set for next
    month.[…]

"President Trump entitled his order “Restoring Names that Honor American Greatness.” But the proposed “Gulf of America” appears to be a modern political invention, Sledge said. For those who’d prefer to return to
white American roots—say, 1492 or so—there’s another option, Sledge
    said.

When Columbus sailed into what we call the Gulf of Mexico, he believed
he’d discovered a new route to Asia. “He went to his grave thinking Cuba was actually some sort of peninsula, an extension of Asia, and some of
those early explorers after Columbus called it the Chinese Sea,” Sledge
said. “So we could always go back to that.”"

Mexico threatens to sue Google for adopting "Gulf of America." China
could very well join the media name game and sue Google for not calling
the Gulf the Chinese Sea. If so, you concern on boundary has merit.

But calling or implying Taiwan as any kind of independent nation is a
totally different issue. To the extent that such mis-information could
block China's peace re-unification effort, it would not have boundary.
Many people would certainly lose their lives IF China is forced to
reunify militarily. If the US is involved and nuclear weapons used, the casualties would be in millions.
