'Emptier words have never been spoken by anybody not named Kamala Harris,'
    one Twitter user wrote

Critics ridiculed White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre for a
recent awkward, meandering statement she gave on President Joe Bidens
border policy during an episode of MSNBCs "All in With Chris Hayes."

During the cumbersome speech, Jean-Pierre discussed Bidens border
security goals and accused former President Donald Trump of having "truly gutted" Americas immigration system.

Internet users blasted Jean-Pierre for both her "word salad" and the
substance of what she was saying.

Jean-Pierre made the halting remarks during Friday episode of Hayes
political talk show. Touting the administrations current plan to secure
the border, she began, "What were going to promise is that were going to
do this. We're going to move forward with a, with this kind of system,
this immigration system, that has been gutted, really truly gutted, by the
    last administration."

She continued, "We're gonna move forward and do it in a humane way. We're
gonna do it in a safe way. And we're going to do it in the way that moves
us forward. And so what we have been seeing, what we have been dealing
with, again, is trying to fix the damage that the last administration do-- did."

The government spokesperson wasnt finished. She added, "What we have done
is we have opened the path to we have opened the path to make sure that people have a way to get, to come through and to do it in a legal
    pathway."

The comments attracted significant criticism on Twitter.

Newsbusters news analyst Kevin Tober marveled, "I transcribed her answer
and it's a complete word salad."

Conservative writer Doug Powers watched the clip and declared, "Emptier
words have never been spoken by anybody not named Kamala Harris."

Right On Crime executive director Brett Tolman blasted Jean-Pierre,
saying, "Word salad. More words. Talking."

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, special advisor for communications Steve Guest
tweeted, "40 seconds of total nonsense from Karine Jean-Pierre about the border. How can she go on TV so often and be happy with an interview that
    goes like this?"

BIDEN TRIPS GOING UP AIR FORCE ONE STEPS AGAIN, SECOND TIME IN TWO WEEKS

Senator Bill Hagerty, R-Tenn., ripped the official for the substance of
what she said. He tweeted, "Weve opened the path to make sure that
people have a way to come through. The Biden Administration says the
quiet part out loud: They are making illegal immigration legal by not
enforcing the laws on our books."

Doctor and Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, R-Iowa, skewered Bidens border policies in response to the clip and Jean-Pierres claim that the
President is opting for a "humane" immigration policy.

She asked, "Whats compassionate about 880 deaths crossing last FY? or
107,000 US opioid deaths (70% fentanyl or FA)? 1.2 M known gotaways that
may be cartel or terrorists? or rape trees, child sex trafficking? How
many more deaths or rapes before you end this humane path forward?"

House Speaker Kevin McCarthys, R-Calif., deputy spokesperson Chad
Gilmartin remarked on the clip, saying, "Not even the White House
@PressSec can provide a clear defense of Bidens indefensible open borders agenda."

Yeah, I did, and if I squinted, it almost made sense.

Seriously, dude. Her whole response was nothing but a litany of right wing talking
points. She didn't even bother specifically refuting anything Biden said. She might as
well have phoned it in. What's to refute? Unemployment at record lows? Inflation
slowing? Gas prices back down and stable? The poorest country in Europe has Putin by the
balls and all it's costing us is pocket change? Everything is going right and all you can
    do is complain.

    ... Inflation slowing?...

You mean the rate of prices rising is slowing down. Wunderbar.

... Gas prices back down and stable?...

Still 50% higher than when Biden took office.

... The poorest country in Europe has Putin by the balls and all it's costing
    us is pocket change?...

And seriously depleted stockpiles at a time China is rattling its sword in the South China Sea.

... Everything is going right and all you can do is complain.

If this is 'everything going right', God help us when it goes south.

    ... Inflation slowing?...

You mean the rate of prices rising is slowing down. Wunderbar.

Yes, that is wonderful. It means the inflation rate is dropping no doubt because supply
chains are restored from Covid and store shelves are filling with goods that need to be
sold and because the Fed's policies are having an effect. No matter how you slice it,
    inflation is trending down.

... Gas prices back down and stable?...

Still 50% higher than when Biden took office.

And indexed for inflation, about the same as they were before the first Arab oil embargo.
About the same as in 1960.

... The poorest country in Europe has Putin by the balls and all it's costing
    us is pocket change?...

And seriously depleted stockpiles at a time China is rattling its sword in the >South China Sea.

China can rattle all it wants. Xi has to notice the dedication of the west to the defense
of countries we consider important to us. The fact that Ukraine didn't roll over and that
NATO and dozens of other countries, including some of China's neighbors, rushed to aid
Ukraine demonstrates to Xi that any attempt to invade Taiwan or any other neighbor will be
frightfully more expensive and risky than he thought.

But the good news doesn't stop there. The government is contracting ammo producers to
increase production (jobs!) and every country in Europe is ordering arms from US defense
contractors to replace the stocks they've shipped to Ukraine (jobs!). Russian arms
customers are shipping their stocks of Soviet era arms to Ukraine and ordering replacement
stocks from the US (jobs!). One of the more telling moves was Czechia and Poland both
sending Soviet era tanks and then ordering US Abrams units to replace them.

Jobs, jobs, jobs and more profit for American industry.

... Everything is going right and all you can do is complain.

If this is 'everything going right', God help us when it goes south.

I know it chaps your Republican ass but it's going very right. Russia is being defeated
without the cost of a single American life and China is put on notice to think twice
before pursuing military goals in Asia. Unemployment continues to shrink, inflation is
rolling back, oil prices are lower than even before the "speshul operashun", NATO states
are increasing their defense budgets and Russia's share of the global arms market
continues to decline because those customers are turning to us and each other.

Even India is in talks to purchase US made weaponry and equipment and Washington his
finally cut a deal to sell nuclear subs to Canberra. Now there's a high profit item!
