The United Nations Human Rights Committee ruled last week that Australia
failed to protect people living on four islands in the Torres Strait from the effects of climate change, and has ordered it to pay for the harm caused. It
is the first successful claim of its kind."
Since when did it become okay for the United Nations to appoint committees to punitively fine an individual sovereign country for the global phenomenon of
a rise in sea level, real or imagined? Did Australia make the sea level
rise? Do they have the power to lower the sea level? Can anybody prove
that? The liberal Left has already tried recently to use the United Nations
to trump US gun laws. This bullshit is totally outrageous and sets a very
bad precedent if Australia submits to this. Maybe it's time to pull out of
the UN until they get over the notion that they own the world.
