to fix a pothole and knows what the rate of child benefit is.

Those online influencers, I agree with Tóibín, are doing real and
permanent damage: Their stock in trade is to cry “betrayal” at every turn, and to tear down every moderately successful institution on their
own side in an endless purity spiral. In the process, they drive their
own followers half mad and render themselves into minor, but ultimately pointless, online celebrities. They are not in the politics business, but
the entertainment industry.”

I am reminded of Spiro Agnews snide comment:

This needs to be printed out and stapled to the forehead of every single hysterical ‘anti-immigration’ supporter."

"Hysterical" is a misogynist term hardly appropriate coming out of the
mouth of a woke presstitute. It's strange how these self-righteous
Bolsheviks who look down their noses on those who want to restrict
immigration in the West have no problem supporting apartheid, ethnic
cleansing and genocide in Gaza by the state of Israel. They can only
hope that the anti-illegal immigrant, anti-demographic replacement
majority in Ireland and America don't follow the lead of the Likud Party
and the Israeli far right and do to "recent arrivals" what the IDF is
doing to the residents of Gaza and the West Bank. It wasn't that long
ago that Israel expelled all Africans from their nation. What's good for
Israel should be good for Ireland.

West reports inherently untrustworthy but what The Kremlin reports
inherently trustworthy? The Kremlin stated a week before the invasion

The problem is that these ‘security concerns’ are made-up, revisionist BS on Putin’s part. How do we know this? Go back to 2004 when the Eastern European states joined NATO. Where were Vlad’s ‘security concerns’ then? You won’t find any because he only made them up a decade later. His country’s Kaliningrad exclave has been surrounded by NATO countries since 2004; you’d think it would’ve been bombed to oblivion by those ‘NATO warmongers’, right? Surely an easy target? He’s also had the Baltic countries as members of NATO since then and has an additional NATO
country (Finland) on his border now.

Other countries’ willingness and desire to join NATO does not have to
depend on what a (essentially) jealous ex-lover thinks.

Russian-speaking Ukrainians that Vlad claims he’s protecting? Eg. the
