Happy National Potato Day (August 19, in both Canada and
The United States)!
Seamus Heaney Reads His Poem, 'Digging' - YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNRkPU1LSUg
Seamus used a pen while his father and grandfather
used a spade, but I have been using both pen/notebook,
computer, and, since I have been tending my ill brother's
potato garden this year, also a spade.
I guess I have also been digging at the root (perineal) chakra,
which is appropriate, since a potato is a root vegetable.
From an email I got from Oxfam this evening, today (August 19)
is also World Humanitarian Day, though for now I am just
donating my magickal efforts and not money.
And today (August 20) is Clear the Shelters Day, which reminds
me of Sarah McLachlan's ASPCA ad featuring her song Angel, and
Homeless Animals Day, and tomorrow (August 21) is
God's Preeminence Day, plus the moon now is like a fat salmon.
Note that I define my top-ranked deity Goddess as the ruler
of the region all/everything, who many call God.
But I think Seamus Heaney was Catholic (and August 21 is
also Poet's Day).
