Happy druid new moon (six days after new moon), which is when
druids cut the mistletoe with a golden sickle.
I am hoping for some good news globally beginning today.
Last month nothing happened, but it has come around again today,
and I am once again hoping for positive changes on both a
personal level and global level. But perhaps I am just rolling
the moon rock up the hill again.
Is there any cutting of mistletoe at this time of the year anywhere
in the world? If I was in Vancouver I might visit the UBC Botanical
Garden, although staff there might frown on any cutting. I’ve
said before that here in Newfoundland I would substitute
dogberries (mountain ash) for mistletoe, but it is still winter here
and there are none to be found.
