    The headline says '737', but it was really a 747 cargo conversion.

    In any case, a rather large hole was found in the top of the
    engine. The video is rather dramatic ... the thing was shooting
    out bright bursts of fire all the way down. Likely threw a
    2nd-stage turbine blade.

    Boeing 747 engines are either GE, P&W or Rolls Royce.

    Daily Mail has updated its website. This is what it says:

    "The aircraft is eight years old, Flightradar24 data showed. The 747-8
    model is powered by four General Electric GEnx engines, according to
    Boeing's website."
