I suppose this emerged after the US Defense Secretary had
a prostate procedure done in total secret just a couple of
weeks ago - not even the President knew ... ergo the problem.
Now in a world with Russian/Terrorist/Chinese hostility
you really DO need to know where your Defense sec might
be. It's a significantly 'functional' position ... the
authority and auth codes and such.
Charles & Kate ... while very popular and public ... royalty
is not making life and death decisions for millions anymore.
This COULD have been engineered to be a very quiet, private,
affair.
