Reports of bedbugs are emerging from new parts of the country
amid concerns a plague of the blood-sucking critters in France
has reached the UK.
Residents in Wiltshire, have thrown out mattresses and sofas
after discovering infestations in their homes, while a toddler
was left riddled with bites at a Kent holiday resort.
Disgusted commuters and homeowners had already complained of
suspected sightings on the London Underground, as well as in
Luton in Bedfordshire and Manchester.
Among those temporarily driven out of their homes in Swindon
was Antonia Selby, her partner and their three children,
after eldest Odin, two, became covered in red spots.
. . .
NYC will be next ... all the bums and 'migrants' and
then everybody, covered in big nasty bites day after
week after month after ........
These bugs are largely insecticide-resistant. Merely
throwing out mattresses and such probably won't do
the trick - they'll still be living in all the cracks
and corners, eager to infest your new stuff (if you
can afford new stuff in these times).
Gonna be a fun winter - locked in with the beasties.
Used to be there were some cheap, quite safe, sprays
that would nuke 'em. No more. It's gonna be expensive
and potentially toxic enough to drive you out of your
home for days. Pointless in big apt buildings and
such because if even ONE neighbor doesn't fumigate.
Oh, where will you GO for those days ? Probably
bring back a fresh batch .....
Hmmm ... anybody checked the White House ? Maybe
that's why Joe's been staying away ?
Best hope is for a bacteria/fungus/virus that'll
attack the noxious critters and JUST the critters.
