    . . .

From Spain to Greece to Turkey - and now pushing up into
France and beyond - FLAMES !

The heat-dome has now spawned widespread forest fires as
    trees wither to kindling.

The southwestern USA is in a similar position ... big
fires have re-started in California despite floods in
    the early spring.

For Europe, the heat is expected to continue, maybe get
worse, for at least a month.

On both continents, the heat domes are caused by stalled,
stagnant, weather systems that just SIT there and soak up
more and more heat. In Europe the system is sending scorching
Saharan air straight up north. This also happened last year.

The UK is expected to see temperatures in the mid-90s(f) by
next week. The Brits ain't wired for that. The highest death
rates though are expected in Paris.

Is this "GW" ... MAYbe, maybe not. Temperatures this high or
even a tad worse HAVE been recorded well in the past, long
before SUVs. Sometimes weather systems just get "stuck", and
this is one of those times. The rapid transition between a
"stuck" la Nina and el Nino may play a role.

    Meanwhile ... roasty-toasty !
