Larger direct subsidies for those with children and more
financial help for education and prenatal care are on the
cards, along with the promotion of flexible work styles
    and paternity leave.

Fumio Kishida said he was proposing "policies to tackle
the falling birthrate on an unprecedented scale" as well
as steps to "increase income for the young, and the
    child-rearing generation".

"We will move forward with these measures to fight the
falling birthrate without asking the public to bear a
further burden," he told ministers, experts and business
leaders gathered to discuss the issue.

    . . .

    What's next - "Handmaids Tale" ???

Anyway, this has become a REAL problem for 1st-world
countries. Modern economics require stealing from
the future to pay for the present - and not enough
kiddies means no future to rob.

I think S,Korea is currently most affected, but Japan
isn't far down the list and the USA/EU are quickly
getting into the same spot. Even Elon Musk has noticed
this developing and is very worried about where the
socioeconomics will head as a result.

Kids are a pain in the ass - so if you don't really
NEED a bunch you don't have 'em. 1st-world women
feel "safe", don't need 9 kids to support them.

The average AGE of having a first child has gone
way up and the ultimate NUMBER of kids has now
fallen well behind the "replacement rate" in many
nations. Even China is freaking - reversing its
"one child" policy some years ago and itself
    trying to encourage population growth.

ONE way to view the soft policies on illegal
"immigrants" is to see them as the proposed
    replacement labor/taxation base. Forget all
the "humanitarian" BS - we need WORKERS and
    need to TAX them.

Will humanity die out ? Nope. However many of
the larger societies MIGHT. An odd side-effect
is that "birth control" products would then
disappear, and that sense of "safety" too,
    causing a population rebound.

Basing your national lifestyle on how much money
you can steal from future generations is a
    DEFECTIVE MODEL, ultimately doomed. Looks
like the doom aspect is kicking in now. National
debt should be ILLEGAL. Either EARN your bread
and circuses or DON'T HAVE ANY.

    I'd recommend looking at France.
When you get your girl knocked up there you don't get a
bunch of sneering and jeers: some guys show up and tell
you there's a job for you now you're a man.

    Dhu
