Brands urged to ditch vegan products as sales stagnate

Vegan products are “stagnating”, according to new data
and brands are being encouraged to ditch their production
of meat-free foods as a result.

New figures from NIQ reveal that in January this year, known
by some as “Veganuary”, sales of chilled meat alternatives
dropped 16.8 per cent, while plant-based milk alternatives
saw growth of just 0.9 per cent.

Ex-Hollyoaks actress Davinia Taylor believes meat alternatives
are “glorified carbohydrates” and blames them for her past
    instances of weight gain.

Speaking on GB News, she said: “As soon as you start consuming
it, it mixes with your saliva and it turns to sugar, so you
pile on the weight and you become lethargic.

    . . .

That's essentially correct, science-wise. Beans, grains and
products derived are essentially "foamed sugar" for any and
all metabolic reasons. They may be "slow sugars", but still
processed AS sugar with all the related effects. (clue -
'fake sugars' - artificial sweeteners - are also assumed to
be real sugar by the body and can contribute equally to
type-2 diabetes just as easily by 'fooling' the system)

From the research I've seen, the height human health was
    during the 'hunter-gatherer' era - somewhat meat-heavy.
With farming things went downhill, grains ('foamed sugar')
products becoming the major, sometimes only, dietary component.

In any case, 'veganism' is not scientific, it's a 'religion'
for all intents and purposed. It does not make you healthy,
it's just "virtue-signaling". We often see news stories
about little children, babies even, stunted or even dying
because their parents were of the 'vegan religion'. Not
nearly enough protein or vitamins in veggies - sorry.
Humans are built to be omnivores.
