I'd consider their word authoritative here.
Cleo was the last of the Ptolemaic rulers - the
Greeks who took over Egypt in the time of Alexander
(The Great) of Macedon. Those rulers were Greek,
not Kushites or Nigerian. There are likenesses of
Cleopatra on coins and other items made during
her reign. Sorry, not "black". MIGHT have been a
bit more homely than legend however - or maybe
the coin-makers just didn't like her :-)
ANYway - we're looking at 'revisionist'/Woke
"History" again here ... Truth is irrelevant,
political 'truth' dominates.
I would say that NetFlix has INSULTED Egyptians
and their long history and culture. Sorry, but
this is even worse than anglo's playing asian
or hispanic historical figures. Everybody is
supposed to be a bit more "sensitive" to these
things nowadays - but NetFlix did it INTENTIONALLY
anyhow. It's racism, cultural imperialism and
malicious ideological disinformation.
Egypt should SUE.
So what's next for NetFlix ... Will Smith as
a gay Henry-VIII ? Queen Latifah as Hinghis
Khan ???
