The sky is falling, the sky is falling, the sky is falling.
Aaaaaahh !!! Run away ! Run away !
Let's get really REAL here ... 'greenhouse gasses' are NOT
gonna be cut in half in just 6.5 years. Not even close.
China alone will push UP the global contribution over the
next decade, India and the "developing world" too.
I do see that France and Germany have very suddenly decided
to reconsider their aversion to nuclear power. Just the other
day there was a news thing about the UK buying a bunch of
US-made "mini modular nuke power plants" - each to supply
electric for about 40,000 and the leftover heat (about four
times the kilowatt value) can have many industrial uses
(hey, a ridiculous percentage of energy use is just for
making junk a little warmer or cooler).
Now JOE isn't talking much about nuclear ... apparently we're
supposed to be 101% windmills and PVs - even though the power
storage tech and emergency capacity is NOT there at all. Joe
did, kinda sorta, greenlight a little new oil drilling the
other day, but it's not nearly enough.
"Greenhouse" is the code-word our enemies use for "Fool The
West Into Destroying Itself".
Now I've nothing against "greener energy" - good idea - but
the scale and scope have to be realistically re-calculated
every year so we KNOW where we stand instead of just HOPING
and GUESSING. So far I don't see much in the way of realistic
calculations - it's all "political math" instead (from ALL sides) ...
