    but increasingly valid in remote-work situations where everyone is
    someplace unique! Also, internal corporate communication is often toxic. Microsoft's internal dynamics were in fact well-known to be adversarial.

    Everyone is trying to increase innovation and invention (while
    simultaneously cutting R&D budgets, of course. Identifying the factors
    that lead to collaboration and therefore innovation is useful.
