I _think_ it's due to a poor excuse for an erection, barely noticable. If I >walk for a short distance = 50 feet or so - then usually I have normal
flow.
I have no problem urinating during the day.
I'm a bit concerned after one episode of inability to urinate and a visit
to the ER. I'd prefer that to never happen again.
TIA
I started tamsulosin "Flowmax" this week and am surprised at how
quickly it took effect. I was dribbling slowly only 100 ml and now
have a quick but weak stream and as much as 300 ml. Was 3 1/2 hours,
now 4 1/2 between need. Up once or twice at night. Whatever the
exact numbers, the effect has been dramatic.
Next questions: how long will this be effective and what about
possible cataract surgery difficulty?
I *think* the answers are: until the prostate grows still more and
the surgery would be successful -- if ever needed.
( For the record, I am 94, have been on saw palmetto for many
years and beta-sitosterol two years. But please note:
this anecdote proves nothing about their effectiveness ! )
