John Gabriel's New Calculus must surely have been discussed at sci.math before, but I can't find it by searching.
Oh dear... He posted THOUSANDS of posts here, mostly with the nickname
"Eram semper recta". Here is a message I posted back then:

I'd be more inclined to believe that Donald Trump is a very stable
genius than that someone who decribes himself like this is to be taken seriously:
"I am a genius who discovered the New Calculus - the first and only
rigorous formulation of calculus in human history, and quite possibly
the greatest mathematician of all time."
A severe case of Dunning-Kruger, I suspect, but I'd be iterested to know
what real mathematicians (which I am not) think.
Do you remember "Knol", the attempt from Google to overcome Wikipedia
with "experts"? Well... John Gabriel succeeded in posting numerous
articles there. Well done Google!
You probably checked YouTube channel "New calculus" which is ridiculous
and abusive on all aspects, as well as John's articles on academia
(I managed to remove some of them, and some YT videos as well, his
geogebra account and his Facebook account).
Back in the day a talented student wrote a few blog articles about
John Gabriel nonsense, unfortunately it is not online anymore (John
Gabriel may have been threatened him, as he usually do). It is style
available from archive.org though :
