    Please give me a translation (not a summary) into English of these two
    pasages of 6th cent. CE Greek into English for my research:

    Procopius on 541 CE Be Bello Persico

    : Βελισάριος δὲ τὼ ἄνδρε τούτω ὡς ἥκιστα ἀληθῆ οἴεσθαι ἔλεγε. τοῦ γὰρ
    καιροῦ τροπὰς θερινὰς εἶναι. ταύτης δὲ τῆς ὥρας δύο μάλιστα μῆνας
    ἀνάθημα τῷ σφετέρῳ θεῷ Σαρακηνοὺς ἐς ἀεὶ φέροντας ἐν ταύτῃ ἐπιδρομῇ
    τινι οὔποτε χρῆσθαι ἐς γῆν ἀλλοτρίαν.

    νομίζουσιν ὁτῳδὴ θεῶν ἀνειμένον, καὶ ἐνταῦθα συλλέγονται κατ’ ἐνιαυτὸν
    ἕκαστον δίς· ὧν τὴν μὲν τῶν πανηγύρεων αὐτῶν μὴν ὅλος μετρεῖ

    Thanks for the response. Now, as a reward, it's significance: What is
    being described is the Pre-Islamic antecedent of the Muslim pilgrimage
    and festival in Mecca that this year took place last Thursday through
    Sunday (Sept. 24-27 2015). That the pre-Islamic Arabs celebrated it is
    also part of Muslim tradition. Throughout the Islamic period, to this
    day, the calendar has been purely lunar so it shifts thoroughout the
    seasons. We have good reason to believe that there was once a
    correction of an intercalary month every so many years (we don't know
    the system) so it followed the seasons (at least more or less) like the
    Jewish and Chinese lunar calendars. Figuring out what this calendar was
    like is an object of research and these two texts provide an important
    clue.
