..... which reminds me.... i used to live in a Country where
i'd go to academic or technical Workshops and conferences
where the native scholars and students were so "shy"...

After presentations, there'd be a Q&A session (period), and
there'd hardly ever be spontaneous questions.... from the Floor

Was this also common, say, in Eastern Europe???
