at this time, PTD wasn't living in the USA?

Shohei Ohtani hit 32 home runs before the All-Star break in 2023.

they all sound ok to me.

That doesn't mske sense in any version,. Do you mean it was the 30th
one he's hit this season, or the 30th one in all of Major League Baseball (MLB), or the 30th one for his team?

Whatever you're trying to say, it has to be "of."

    oh... Aren't you contradicting yourself?

Ohtani hit a homer, adding it to 29 ones he had hit since this
    season started.
So, which is right among the three above?
Aha. Ohtani hit his 30th homer of the season.

(Is this in Japan? It's unlikely that anyone in MLB would have 30
before the All-Star break, given that 60 in a whole season is quite
    rare.)

Hello, Mr. PTD! Which planet (Parallel Universe) are you writing that
    from?

if i knew (several years ago) that PTD could be THIS clueless,
i'd have spent much less time trying to teach him
some basic facts about Chinese writing.

Shohei Ohtani hit 32 home runs before the All-Star break in 2023.

Shohei Ohtani's 30th home run of the 2023 season was actually hit on
    June 30, 2023.

So if PTD had spent 5 or 10 seconds looking it up, he'd have
learned that Ohtani's 30th home run of the 2023 season was on the
    previous day.
