    This changes the air, and of course loses the heat in the air, but that
    isn't much; a lot more heat is stored in the fabric of the building.

    I suppose the reverse must be true too. In a heatwave, Stoßlüften would
    let in hot air, but it would then lose most of its heat to the walls....


    is that word commonly used among some Anglophones???
