    Notable African-American writer from 1920s on.
    Unlike some people earlier noted in this series, he didn't really write
    in a non-standard variety (AAVE or whatever)*. But Crystal sees him as important as a contributor to "jazz poetry", which can be argued to have
    a distant relation to rap. See especially his "The Weary Blues".
