    This is NOT just in China, the Euros are also
    worried about hydroelectric dams. The increasingly
    extreme cycles of drought and floods now make them
    an unreliable source of energy and potentially a
    massive hazard if sudden flooding overwhelms.

    The Hoover dam may fall victim to chronic drought,
    its reservoir WAY down and likely to pretty much
    disappear. And then, as the weather tends to do,
    one excess will be abruptly replaced by another
    that could stress the now-dried-out terrain around
    the dam.

    But if you want a BIG $$$ impact from this drought
    cycle look no further than beautiful California.
    Mega-fires are only the most obvious issue, most
    of the extensive farmland there USED to be desert.
    It is only green due to water pumped in from the
    shrinking Colorado river. At some point soon
    it'll be a choice between water for people to
    drink -vs- water to grow their food. I foresee
    a fail on both points. Californians will have
    to pay for trucked-in water AND trucked-in food.
    Cost of living - outta sight.

    And in a few years, FLOODS - all the burned hills
    will turn to mud and slide down. Oh, and once we
    have THAT mess, well, we're way over-due for The
    Big One ....

    The whole state should be closed down and evacuated,
    ship 'em all to Alaska or wherever. Nobody left but the
    illegals and street bums (soon to be street cannibals).
