• PDU tweeks

I'm thinking of replacing the "pigtail" adapters for my PDU
    with these:

    <https://down-ph.img.susercontent.com/file/ph-11134207-7r98x-lmsq0ovw6cnj77>

But, concerned about spacing (I need to find an alternative that is
accompanied by engineering drawings, or at least, isometrics to get
a feel for the volume occupied (Hard to perceive depth in black-on-black)

Anyone used things like these? How well do they adhere?

From the picture, looks like a Power Distributing Unit, so a UPS, where
he's converting from IEC style outputs to something that goes into a US
    style plug

They're about 2.5 times as long as a typical power plug.

Anyone used things like these? How well do they adhere?

They hold on as tight as any IEC plug does, which is tighter than
    regular plugs.

    What's a PDU?

Power Distribution Unit, or really expensive power strip, typically 6
feet long to mount vertically in an equipment rack or 19 inches long to
mount horizontally. The long ones usually have outlets divided into 3
groups with 3 breakers and 3 LED current meters. They don't have
batteries but racks usually have 2 UPS's and 2 PDU's, and servers and
switches each have 2 PSU's. The long ones have only IEC outlets and the
    short ones usually do.

Yes, but are they "edge stackable"? I.e., can I use an *adjacent* PDU
position if one is installed in "this" position? Or, does it block/overhang its neighbors?

Some seem designed to mate to the end of *cords* instead of a PDU
(they seem to have a bulkier composition as if meant to be held
    in a hand)

Anyone used things like these? How well do they adhere?

They hold on as tight as any IEC plug does, which is tighter than
    regular plugs.

So, plugging a heavy gauge cord into one wouldn't be any worse than
said cord mating with the PDU itself? (I was concerned that there
would be a levering action as the cord would now be a few inches off
the PDU -- which is mounted vertically)

With the pigtails, the connection to the PDU is just like any other
    *cord*.
