    Gentlemen,

I've just noticed the vast majority (no exaggeration) of my Twitter
    (X) following consists of young women with huge backsides keen to
flaunt the goods in their profile photos. I have nothing in common
with them and I can't believe they have any interest in the subjects I
post about. WTF is going on here? Has anyone else encountered this
situation? If I was in some group on X dedicated to discussing young
women with large bums I could understand it, but I'm not.

That's strange. I like women who are in good shape - which is to say not overweight, but with enough muscular development not to look skinny.

Skinny implies scrawny and under-fed. That's not sexy.

Having a good income suggests that you fit into your social environment,
but it can also just represent a fortunate occurrence of ancestors, and
both Elon Musk and Donald Trump have that.

The historic preference for well-rounded women reflects an environment
where most people were under-fed, and skinny women probably weren't
    ovulating and weren't fertile.

It was a sewer pipe even before Musk bought it and removed any vestige
    of content monitoring.

Social media does serve as an area where the most hare-brained half-wit
can parade his nonsensical delusions, as you demonstrate here with
    unfortunate persistence.

Free speech - in the sense that vested interests can't block out
inconvenient opinions - may be a good thing, but we do need mechanisms
that discourage the lunatic fringe from exploiting it to peddle fatuous nonsense.

The whole Instagram/Twitter/X/TikTok format was never really designed
for any kind of complex discussion or long-form text posts the way a
message board, Slashdot, Reddit, or even Usenet was.

Originally as I recall it was text and image only with a 280 character
length the thought process being it would be good for organizations
sending brief status updates to the pretty primitive cell phones most
people were still rockin' circa 2008, I can't remember what I was using
then, my girlfriend was in grad school (didn't know her at the time) she
had this thing by LG called a "Rumor Touch" it likely seemed like Star
Trek back then with a flip-out keyboard:

    <https://myrealmobile.com/images/thumbs/0000308_lg-rumor-touch-ln-510-free-with-activation_600.png>

Now sadly just e-waste as 3G CDMA has been sunsetted everywhere in the
    US AFAIK, but I digress.

Anyway then at some point they added video, so the whole format is much
better suited to women shaking their asses and outrage/troll posts than
any kind of nuanced discussion of anything, that's also what I mean by
"sewer pipe" like at this point those apps are very much just like TV
with extra steps. Might as well just watch TV and shout into the void
    about what you see there.

They might not be actual humans, and if they are those might not be their
actual images. Don't click adverts unless you want to see more of the
    same.

To be honest, I wouldn't really mind seeing more of the same. :)

Cursitor Doom does have an enthusiasm for fatuous nonsense. Improbably
fat bottoms could trigger the same enthusiasm.

In real life, the slim nerdy ones are the keepers.

Curvy young women and atheletic dudes peak early and go to fat.

I haven't met many fat EEs, and no very good fat EEs.

Yep, grab the flat-chested broad; can't go wrong.

Not to mention the narcissism and sense of entitlement that goes hand
in hand with good looks (most of them anyway).
