188) Over the years NASA has twice changed their story regarding the shape of the Earth. At first they maintained Earth was a perfect sphere, which later changed to an “oblate spheroid” flattened at the poles, and then changed again to being “
pear-shaped” as the Southern hemisphere allegedly bulges out as well. Unfortunately for NASA, however, none of their official pictures show an oblate spheroid or pear-shaped Earth! All their pictures, contrary to their words, show a spherical (and
clearly CGI fake) Earth.
Lies, lies and more lies from YOU, Eric Dumbay.
Initially, some 2500 years ago, we already KNEW that the Earth was a
ball, and BELIEVED that it was a perfect sphere. Back then, we didn't
have the tools to know any better. The NASA didn't exist back then. The
USA didn't exist back then. MOST of the countries of the modern world
didn't exist back then. Rome wasn't even founded at the time.
Later, we realized that due to it's rotation, it must be an oblate
spheroid. Followed by the actual MEASUREMENT of the oblateness that
matched the calculated oblateness. Again, more than 400 years BEFORE the creation of the NASA, more than a century BEFORE the discovery of the
New World.
Then, in the 60's and 70's, by analyzing the orbits of 1000's of
satellites over several years, we where able to get a very fine
measurement that showed that the Northern hemisphere is slightly to low,
and the Southern hemisphere slightly to high.
As for the amplitude...
Start with a circle 1000 pixels in radius. BROADEN it by THREE (3)
pixels to get the oblateness.
Now, scale it up by 10 times, to make it 10000 pixels radius North to
South, and 10030 pixels radius along the equator. Now, smoothly push the surface inward by ONE SINGLE PIXEL around 45° North and smoothly pull
the surface outward by ONE SINGLE PIXEL around 45° South.
There, you have the oblateness and pearness modelled.
Now, can you see the pearness ?
Can you even see the oblateness ?
That's exactly why the REAL photos of Earth REALLY taken from space show
a sphere.
