I have recently acquired a Mag 1 Porta Ball 12.5 which was shipped with the mirror removed. I am having a difficult time reinstalling it. I can get only 2 of the collimating bolts to start the third is always slightly out of alignment. When examining the
mirror cell two of the metal tabs that are tapped to receive the bolts are a little loose where they are through bolted through the wooden base. Since due to the clearance between the bottom of the mirror and the wood base does not allow tightening of
the screws without removing the mirror was it done intentionally to help in installing the mirror? I would really like to start using this scope any help I can get will be appreciated.
