    Very probably that far out there is a lot of volume of space and
    comparatively little matter. Not that much different to going through
    the asteroid belt really but with everything even further apart.

    It generally takes a three body interaction for one to end up in a new
    orbit where it drops into towards the sun (or gets expelled completely).
